Her story.

I was born on a rainy day at the beginning of May in 1984, and... Oh! Hello! *drops glasses in an attempt to turn around while seeming exceptionally cool* I didn't see you here. ^_^ I am Rina, I live in Southern Germany, and I... am honoured you somehow got here, and that you are still reading this. I have been obsessed with making music since forever, and I love being creative altogether. And I accidentally write in rhymes even when I do not intend to, apparently. *sighs*

As a small child, I remember I often visited my paternal grandparents, and sneaked upstairs whenever I could, because~ they had a home organ there, and I wanted to play on it. Did I say play? At first it probably sounded like I was vicariously cooking a starship on the keys using a whisk, but after some time, when I learned how to write numbers, I started noting down the numbers of the keys which sounded good together or after one another (to my ears). I loved all things tied to music, to instruments, to creating sounds and making up songs on the go. I used to record my singing attempts on tape a lot growing up, too, sometimes while jumping on the bed, but always with full enthusiasm!

At age 6, I started learning to play the recorder, which I had to promise in spite of wanting to learn to play the guitar instead. But at that age, I thought this was my way of getting to learn the guitar. When I was 14-ish, I then bought myself my first ever electric guitar. I spent all my savings on this guitar, and I loved it so much, though I had zero idea how to play the guitar, as I never learned it until then. I found a great guitar teacher, though, who was frustrated with me sometimes, but I learned to practice more often after a while, and who also played in a local band. After two or so lessons, I already started writing my own songs on the guitar... They were not great, but still, it helped me develop an interest and LOVE for songwriting altogether. I must say, even though I did try multiple times to start bands back then, I was not always in the right "mindspace" back then, but that's a story for another day, and I do not want to trigger anybody right now, including myself; this is just to apologise to all the people I let down in that difficult time. I wish I could undo this mistake of mine, and I am really sorry.

I also sang in a choir in school when I was younger (10 to 13 years old), and I thoroughly miss doing this, so I started taking voice lessons in 2022 again (Also had voice lessons earlier on, but then again, life happened and I thought I couldn't continue taking them back then unfortunately.). I am still writing songs as often as my energy levels and mood allows me to. I always felt bad when writing songs when I was not in a good mindspace, because it felt like making my favourite thing in the whole world "dirty", and I just didn't want to view music in this light, but it so often helped me regain a sense of calm, clarity, and JOY ^_^.

I started working with some digital audio workstations (mainly FL Studio and Reaper) along the way, and though I am nowhere close to perfect, I really enjoy spending my time experimenting with the effects, VSTs, and other features. I also started my solo project, Valley Visionary, several years beforehand, but recently, I lost a LOT of my music from another PC, which felt like a setback, though I think I should look forward and continue working on new songs, but yeah, this was a loss.

Other things I really enjoy doing are drawing, painting, taking photos, creative writing, dancing, learning foreign languages, travelling, listening to loads and loads of music, watching either very whacky or sappy movies, reading, divination (tarot, palmistry, numerology, and astrology), swimming, learning new things, annoying others with philosophical questions, spending time researching my favourite animals (pinnipeds in all shapes and sizes), and designing fashion, furniture, and websites (YOU DON'T SAY!!). I am also interested in really picking up sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, creating podcasts, video game and app design, filmmaking, roller skating, martial arts in general, and working with polymer clay and epoxy resin. You may see a pattern here... Or you don't *lol*. I also forgot to mention I really like astronomy, psychology, smaller-size chemical experiments, riddles, and math *gasp*. I am in love with fascination itself, and I hate the moment I feel like I know everything about one thing, so I tend to gravitate to interests that are infinite in their potential number of learnings. :)
